Dr. Shafna is currently based in Auckland, New Zealand. Having completed her graduation in homoeopathic medicine (BHMS) from Govt Homoeopathic Medical College, Kozhikode, she practiced in various clinical settings in India before moving there. Her research dissertation topic during the course was on “Management of cerebrovascular attacks(CVA) using homoeopathic medicines and physiotherapy”. She also utilises predictive homeopathy - a recent development in the homeopathic field - in her practice. She had worked at the Kerala Institute of Homoeopathic Medical Sciences(KIHMS) and at MINHANS clinic, Kozhikode. She has also attended training on basic life support and emergency management and courses offered by World Health Organization on treatment design and clinical care in Severe Acute Respiratory Infection.
